At first figurative, Mas' style is progressively more abstract. Her subjects, are often reduced to mere curves. Their movement is suggested by the brush strokes, and their environment is suggested by the textures.

Latin American art critic Vicky Torres praises Mas' use of color and texture. "In Gladys Mas' work there is a wise use of color and strokes, a precise touch, a rigorous treatment of textures. Each painting is a fascinating reality, waiting to be discovered by the observer," Torres says

Mas has been studying art technique and theory since 1993. She lives and paints in Asuncion, Paraguay.
